About Cashmere scarves
Cashmere scarves are known for their luxurious softness and warmth, making them a sought-after choice in both fashion and winter wardrobes. BELLA BALLOU's Cashmere Wool comes from the undercoat of the Mongolian Cashmere goat, which lives in the harsh, cold areas of Mongolia. The extreme climate in this region promotes the development of the goats' thick undercoat, which protects them from the winter cold, and it is precisely this Wool that is used to create the exclusive Cashmere products.
The process of producing Cashmere starts in the spring when the goats naturally shed their undercoat. This fine, soft Wool is carefully combed from the animals to ensure that only the finest fibers are used. Afterwards, the Wool is cleaned and sorted to remove coarse hairs and impurities. Once the pure Cashmere Wool is ready, it is spun into yarn, which can then be woven or knitted into scarves.
Scarves made of Mongolian Cashmere are known for their lightweight yet exceptional thermal insulation. The natural breathability of Cashmere makes the scarves comfortable to wear year-round. They are often produced in a range of natural and colorful shades, making them both timeless and modern – perfect for any wardrobe that values quality and elegance.
A beloved child has many names: Cashmere is also known from the Indian version "kashmir" or "pashmina"
